Clapp Library hosts an annual Thesis Festival for senior thesis students. This year's event took place on October 24, 2022 in the Brackett Lounge on the 2nd Floor of Clapp. Approximately 80 students (nearly two-thirds of thesising students) attended to learn about about available resources and services, connect with LTS staff, and chat with other thesis students in a fun and celebratory atmosphere. Activities included:

  • Creating decorations for thesis carrels
  • Listening to and creating thesis playlists
  • Connecting with dedicated research librarians
  • Interlibrary Loan advice
  • Data and data visualization station (in collaboration with QAI)
  • Talks with writing tutors
  • Takeaway snacks and thesis swag, including tote bags featuring a Book Arts Lab design

What thesis students had to say:

  • “I LOVED it! I wish I could have stayed for longer... I truly thought it was so creative, and there were so many cool people to talk to about their respective theses too!”
  • “I enjoyed learning about all the resources available to me through the library! The snacks were also INCREDIBLE and it was really fun to collect stamps [at each station].”
  • “Everyone was very friendly and provided really useful information!!”
