Research Beyond Wellesley

Can't find what you're looking for at Wellesley? Take advantage of the wide range of other library resources available to you. Covid 19 Update: Please check with individual libraries about current access policies.

  • Boston Library Consortium (BLC) card gives you access to a number of academic and research libraries in the Greater Boston area. Stop by one of the Reference Desks and request one — it only takes a minute or two!
  • Your Wellesley ID gives you borrowing privileges at MIT libraries — you don't have to be cross-registered at MIT.
  • The Boston Public Library system includes a Central Library, 24 branches, a map center, a business library, and a website filled with digital content. You can register online for an eCard to gain access to ebooks, streaming media, and databases from the BPL. You can also obtain a physical card at any branch library with proper ID.
  • Use WorldCat Discovery to search and request directly from libraries worldwide via Interlibrary Loan
