JSTOR will allow you to filter your results for book chapters - chapters are a great way to reap the benefits from a book without necessarily having to read the whole thing!
Peer reviewed articles on all aspects of religion, with an emphasis on Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Also searchable by Hebrew Bible and New Testament scripture.
Did you know that you can search by scipture citation in ATLA? Simply change the drop-down menu from "Select a Field" to "Scripture Citation" and enter the book, chapter, and verse number you are interested in. Check out this search for citations to Acts 1:5.
