POL3 221: World Politics

Research Tips

  • use synonyms to find all the ways your topic is expressed:  war or conflict
  • use the citations and references in one source to find other resources, including reports, data, and other articles! Check out the footnotes, endnotes, and bibliography.
  • use truncation to save time: combat* for combat, combatant, etc.
  • combine multiple concepts using AND for best results

example: (freedom OR right OR privilege)
                   AND
                   speech
