Setting Up Foreign Language Keyboards

Software for Macs

The Microsoft Office suite does not support Swahili spell check. However the Open Office applications do support Swahili, and you can use web-based Swahili spell checkers, such as the one offered by Tiaan.com.

Gmail also does not support Swahili spell check, nor do other Google applications. However, most browsers offer Swahili as a default language option.

To change your browser language:

Firefox: In the Preferences window go to the Content tab and set the Language.

Chrome: Settings -> Advanced settings -> Languages
