ECON 204: Big Ideas in Economics

1. Whiteboard

2. Google Away

In pairs, research your economist using any source you want. Fill out your mind map with details about their work.

3. Scholarly Sources

Add to your mind map using sources from the database below. Only use the abstracts, introductions, and citations. Do not read the full articles! Pay particular attention to economic concepts and ideas.

4. What Does That Even Mean?

Unsure what an economic concept or theory means? Try using a scholarly, subject-specific encyclopedia to learn about it, and to locate citations to other works that discuss that topic. Encyclopedias can help provide background and context, but typically are not included in annotated bibliographies or research papers for your classes.
