THST 204: Acting I

A guide to finding performance materials available electronically and on campus

Browsing

Any physical item that you handle must either be checked out or placed in the designated area for the required 72-hour quarantine. For example, if you are browsing the open stacks and pull out a book, journal, DVD, etc., please do not put it back on the shelf. In Clapp Library, please place such items on one of the reshelving carts in the stacks or in the return bin at the service desk.

Guide to Browsing for Plays in the Wellesley College Library [PDF]

Use subject headings to browse for plays

When you browse the subject headings under "American drama", you can find plays by publication date, author race or ethnicity, genres, or other categories. (Avoid headings that contain "history and criticism", as these usually don't contain the text of the plays they are discussing.)

Browse American Drama

Sample headings:

American drama -- 21st century

American Drama -- African American Authors

American Drama -- Asian American Authors

American drama -- Women authors
