Before You Begin ... PLAN

Create a storyboard or two

Storyboards are enhanced outlines. Like standard outlines, they can help focus and define your argument, but they also track other elements, such as time and visuals. Storyboards aren't set in stone. They're working documents you can return to as your project evolves. If necessary, they can help you refocus if you run out of time and need to change your project. Storyboards help you:

  • Quickly try different design ideas
  • Identify resources - do you have them? do you need to look for them?
  • Check if you're meeting all the assignment's requirements.

Here's an example of a very rough and vague one below.
