Primary Sources

Almost anything can be a primary source, depending on how you use are you using it. Primary sources are the materials you will analyze and interpret directly. They might be songs, lyrics, music videos, or performances, or they could be newspaper or magazine articles, if you are interested in examining evidence of how an artist, work, performance, etc. has been received/perceived by an audience (see Find Magazine & News Content page).
