Welcome

Getting ready for reappointment, tenure, and promotion can be a stressful experience.

Let your colleagues in LTS help you with pieces of the puzzle.

Research and instruction librarians are ready to help you with establishing an online presence, figuring out where to publish, submitting your articles to our institutional repository, tracking the impact of your publications, and managing your citations

Establish an Online Presence

Citation Management

Trying to keep track of all your citations can be tricky. Let us help you! Both EndNote and Zotero are great tools for gathering, managing, and organizing all your research.

EndNote is software you download onto your computer that will allow you to:

  • Store your references and link them to your PDF files
  • Organize your references into Groups
  • Create bibliographies
  • Work with Microsoft Word to format your in-text citations and references
  • Allows you to switch between hundreds of reference styles, with the touch of a button

Zotero - available for Windows, Mac, and Linux - is also software you download onto your computer that:

  • Automatically senses content in your web browser, allowing you to add it to your personal library with a single click.
  • Collects all your research in a single, searchable interface.
  • Organizes your research into collections that act like iTunes playlists.
  • Assign tags to your library items to organize your research using your own keywords.
  • Create footnotes, endnotes, in-text citations, or bibliographies.
  • Automatically synchronize your data across devices.
