Creating A World As It Should Be®: The Power of Disabled Women Activists.

The video documents the power of women leaders with disabilities in their quest to be included in international development programs. It is available on YouTube in honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2012.

Interviews with highly accomplished women with disabilities highlight the vision, determination, challenges and recommendations for including women and girls in international development programs. Their eloquent and passionate message resonates the need for the international development community to form partnerships with disabled women activists so that women and girls with disabilities can be included in all programs, such as health, microcredit, HIV/AIDS and violence prevention, education, and emergency response.
