Catalog Search

Catalog search tips

Use and to combine terms in your search | education and women

Use or to expand results | television or TV

Use * to find variant endings, or as a wild card | wom*n   feminis*

Use " " to search words as a phrase | "college athletes"

subject terms

When you find a helpful book in the catalog, look for the subject terms associated with that book. These terms can help you find more books on the same topic (in our catalog, and when you search in WorldCat).

For example, if you do a keyword search for women and science, you'll find books with the subject heading Chemists United States Biography, which can lead you to titles like African American Women Chemists and Successful Women in Chemistry.
